Orphan Care
Care is a long-term investment
"Orphan care" transcends the concept of financial sponsorship to encompass embracing a complete human being. While sponsorship involves providing money, care involves offering love, time, and role models ; it means being the "family" the orphan has lost, and the compass that guides them through life's difficult paths.
1. Psychological care is more valuable than money.
An orphan doesn't hunger for bread as much as they hunger for love and security. True care includes:
- Wiping the head: This is a kind gesture recommended by the Prophet ﷺ to soften a hardened heart and to compensate the orphan for the lost touch of affection.
- Moral support: Making the orphan feel that he is a valuable individual, and celebrating his small successes as if you were his proud father.
2. Building the future (ensuring education and skills)
Care means ensuring that orphans are not left alone to face the challenges of the modern age. By providing quality education and developing their skills, you:
- It protects his mind from deviation or exploitation.
- His transformation from a person who waits for help to a productive force that serves his country and nation.
3. The blessing of the host house
The home that honors and cares for orphans is "the best of Muslim homes." Tranquility descends upon it, calamities are averted, and success graces the lives of its inhabitants. Such care is a long-term investment whose impact is evident in the righteousness of your children and their devotion to you.
