Ramadan basket
The Ramadan food basket is one of the most beautiful acts of solidarity.
The Ramadan food basket is considered one of the most beautiful acts of solidarity during the holy month. It is not merely about providing food, but about sharing in the joy of breaking the fast and helping those fasting to perform their religious duties without worrying about need. In Ramadan, rewards are multiplied, and the meal given to break the fast becomes a means of attaining the full reward of fasting.
1. Earning the reward of "providing iftar for a fasting person"
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Whoever provides food for a fasting person to break their fast will have a reward like theirs, without diminishing anything from the reward of the fasting person.” By providing a Ramadan food basket, you are not only providing food for one person, but you may be providing food for an entire family for the entire month, and you will be credited with the reward of fasting for all of them, God willing.
2. Helping the needy to devote themselves to worship
When you provide a needy head of household with his monthly provisions, you relieve him of the burden of the exhausting daily search for sustenance, thus giving him and his family the opportunity to devote themselves to prayer, worship, and reading the Quran with peace of mind and tranquility.
3. Bringing the "joy of Ramadan" into homes
Ramadan has its own rituals and special foods (such as dates, soup, and juices). A Ramadan basket containing these items:
- Children in poor homes feel like everyone else.
- The feelings of widows and orphans are comforted during the family gathering season.
- It strengthens the spirit of Islamic brotherhood ("The believer to the believer is like a building").
